fixer upper

went to the apple store, 02,  a licensed iPhone repair man today, who works in a block of offices above a Halifax. He said it would take around fifteen minutes and asked me to wait in reception.

the experience was harrowing.

the whirr of the photocopy machine and monotonous tapping of the receptionists acrylic nails are sounds of unmotivated, number crunching drones and their unhappy lives. The men glide about in hand-me-down pinstripes, whilst the women punctuate the air with stiletto heels clapping the cold floor.

I can’t ever work in an office environment. it’s too close to how I imagine hell.

in other news my iPhone has a new screen and i’ve lost the £80 I planned on spending on food in reykjavik next week.
